It could be said that the defining desire of our age is the desire for freedom and liberty. We desire political freedom from oppression, we desire freedom of speech to express ourselves without hindrance, and we desire personal freedom – the freedom to do what we wish. But does freedom even exist? Are we merely determined creatures by our DNA and environment? What is the basis for such freedom, and what is freedom anyway? Is it simply the removal of all restrictions, or is it deeper than that?
